How our website forms work

The enquiry, careers, meeting-request and product-listing forms on this website do not store what you type on our web server. When you press the button, the form opens your own email program with a pre-filled message addressed to us. Nothing is sent until you press send in your email program.

Your message then travels through your email provider and ours, and is stored in our business email and records once we receive it. Your email provider's own privacy terms apply to its part of that journey.

Files you attach – such as specifications, COAs or CVs – are handled in the same way as the email they are attached to.
06

Cookies and similar technologies

  • Essential – set by our website platform (WordPress) and hosting provider to deliver pages securely and remember basic settings.
  • Preferences stored in your browser – some pages, such as our trade-fair checklist, save your choices in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
  • Analytics – if enabled, analytics tools help us understand how visitors use the site in aggregate, such as which pages are viewed most.
  • Embedded content – pages may include content from other providers, such as maps. Those providers may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the website from working properly.

07

Who we share it with

  • Manufacturers and principals whose products we supply, where needed to quote, fulfil an order, provide documents or handle a quality claim.
  • Logistics partners – transporters, freight forwarders, customs brokers and warehouses.
  • Banks and payment providers to process payments and letters of credit.
  • Service providers who host our website and email, provide IT support or help with accounting. They act on our instructions.
  • Professional advisers such as auditors, chartered accountants and lawyers.
  • Authorities – government, tax, customs, regulatory or law-enforcement bodies where required by law.
  • A successor business if all or part of our business is reorganised or transferred.

We do not sell or rent personal data.

08

Transfers outside India

Some of the manufacturers, logistics partners and technology providers we work with are located outside India, so your personal data may be processed in other countries. We transfer data outside India only as permitted under the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India, and we share only what is needed for the purpose.

09

How long we keep it

  • Customer and supplier records – for as long as we have a business relationship, and afterwards for the periods required under tax, GST, accounting and company law.
  • Enquiries that do not lead to business – deleted when no longer needed to follow up on your request.
  • Job applications – for the recruitment process and, unless you ask us to delete them sooner, up to 12 months for future openings.
  • Marketing contacts – until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
  • Website logs – for limited periods for security and troubleshooting, or longer where the law requires.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

10

How we protect it

We use reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data, including access limited to people who need it, password-protected systems, secure (HTTPS) connections to this website, and contractual confidentiality from service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a personal data breach occurs, we will take steps to contain it and will inform the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals as required by law.

11

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we process about you, the processing activities, and the parties we have shared it with;
  • Correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Erase data that is no longer needed, unless we must keep it by law;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Grievance redressal – raise a complaint with us about how we handle your data;
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible and within the time allowed by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
